What Does a Turtle, Cheetah and an Owl Have to Do With The Brain?

Kids Get To Find Out In This Social-Emotional Learning

Workshop About the Brain & Stress

Kids do better when they know not only 'what' is happening with their emotions, but also 'how' (science) and 'why' (cause and effect).

Kids will leave this workshop knowing the role of their prefrontal cortex and the amygdala when stress and big emotions show up; common stressors, fight-flight-freeze response, and emotional regulation coping tools will be covered.

Finally, a proven way using stories and multi-sensory learning to help kids understand what happens in their brain when they are angry, embarrassed, anxious, or stressed so they can take back their inner power without losing self-esteem.

When emotions get big, and kids get stressed, many of them don't know what to do about it or how to cope.

The child-brain doesn’t fully mature until age 25+; this means that children will feel challenged in understanding and managing their big emotions, but they don't actually know what's happening inside of them and why, and this impacts their self-esteem, especially if their caregivers don't know how to support them.

This workshop is based on a multi-sensory learning experience involving stories, discussion, self-discovery work, mindfulness practices, and arts and crafts.

THE CONFIDENCE COACH FOR KIDS & PARENTS!

As a Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence Coach for kids and Master Certified Parenting Coach, I help families create cohesive, connected and expressive teams where the primary focus is to help kids gain sensational self-confidence and soaring self-esteem, while helping parents overcome hurdles that prevent them from achieving the supportive and peaceful family system they desire.

When I was a child, I deeply struggled with low self-esteem and self-worth. I faced racism and bullying as well. I am a survivor who can attest to childhood trials and tribulations without the knowledge, tools, or resources to help me when I deeply needed them. What's more important to know is that the information I share with kids today, I didn't even know until I learned it all in my thirties after I had my own kids. The real deal is that we can't give our kids what we don't have. And I didn't have the information, tools and resources. But then...I got them. I learned. I did the work.

And now, for kids, I use a 6 step system rooted in story-telling and multi-sensory learning to help them go from disempowered, disengaged and unmotivated to self-empowered, self-connected and self-motivated.

With parents, I have unique 13 step approach that allows us to unearth subconscious parenting patterns that play a role in the family’s challenges and shift them so that parents can grow into conscious, confident and empowered family leaders with the help of support, tools and strategies .

Coaching for Kids

We want the best for our kids as we go about in this ever-changing world don't we? I'm a parent just like you, but I've also been a kid who struggled too - and I know what it's like!

How do we teach the kids in our lives to hold their heads high, make strong confident decisions, and empower them to achieve what they want in life without getting stuck in the "ruts"? We can love our kids to bits, but we can't give them high self-confidence, soaring self-esteem, or a strong self-image. BUT we can provide them tools and resources that show them how to develop the mindset they need to develop these qualities.

And no, more often than not, they are not getting regular long-lasting explicit exposure to the learning of these skills in schools, and most adults don't know the information I share in my Kids Coaching Programs.

TESTIMONIALS

Parents Recommend

"Thanks Ashley for your explanations and enthusiasm. I have since noticed my daughter applying the concepts and she is now quite interested in journaling and getting her feelings out. The crafts and concepts were made fun and easy to understand.  She uses her 'failure' box and seems to get a sense of reduced stress from it. I am quite happy with the experience overall and I would recommend it to friends and colleagues."

- Apryl Gladue, parent
